Religion in and of its self is neutral. It can give people the courage to be completely selfless or summon the malice to commit things that should never be committed. If you believe that a higher being wants you to do something, it can make it extremely easier to find it within yourself to do it. Whether you use it for good or evil, it is up to you. Religion is what you make of it.
